About Us
We operate Sandtoft Airfield with its 900m runway, currently on an unlicensed basis but we expect to be licensed shortly with the capability of accepting aircraft upto KingAirs on commercial flights. AVGAS is available with Avtur planned shortly. PPR is only required for non radio aircraft and for aircraft operating into or out of the Airfield out of hours. We are planning to provide pilot controlled lighting. There are 6 hangars with space for additional aircraft upto Beech 18 in size. We have a range of Aircraft available for rental from microlight to twins.
Private Pilot flying training, including IMC and night, is offered in Cessna 150,172 and Piper PA28 aircraft. Multi Engine training will shortly be available at Sandtoft in our Seneca. Microlight training is available in our Ikarus C42. We have around 25 students at any time.
We offer friendly, relaxed and efficient instruction at our hard runway airfield which at 800m is one of the longer GA Aifields. We are situated in the ever helpful Doncaster Zone. . FAA Bi-annuals ( BFRs) and Instrument Proficiency Checks (IPC)s can also be provided.
Trial lessons are available to see if flying is for you, or as a gift for a friend.
We maintain both EASA, Annex 2, and FAA "N" registered aircraft up to Light Turbines ( TBM 750 series), and Eclipse jets. Our Chief Engineer holds FAA IA Authorisation.
A wide variety of Avionic upgrades, defects and component overhauls are undertaken throughout Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Cambridge at competitive rates.
Component overhauls include magneto, starters, alternators, instruments and nav com units. We can test hoses upto 6500 psi, undertake Aircraft weighing, and Ultrasonic, Eddy current, Penetrant and Magnetic particle inspection. For a photo of a Merlin Spitfire engine undergoing MPI click here.
We also undertake ground instruction and exams for your PPL, RTF and Air to Ground licences and ratings.
